Biography

Archie Griffin (1954) is a former American football running back and college football's only two-time Heisman Trophy winner. He won four Big Ten Conference titles with the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Griffin played for the Ohio State University Buckeyes from 1972-75. He is the only back to have led the Big Ten Conference in rushing for three consecutive years and the only player in collegiate football history to start four Rose Bowl games.

Griffin is president of The Ohio State University Alumni Association and spokesman for the Wendy's High School Heisman award program. He was assistant athletic director for The Ohio State University.
