Roger Federer
Biography
Roger Federer is one of the greatest tennis players of all time and still in his prime. By September 2007 he had won 51 tournament singles victories, including 12 Grand Slam singles titles. In 2007 he became the first player to win the U.S. Open four consecutive years, winning three Grand Slams for the second year running. He has twice been runner-up in the fourth Grand Slam event, the French Open. He also equalled Bjorn Borg’s record of five consecutive Wimbledon titles, bringing his career earnings to over $35m.
In 2003 he established the Roger Federer Foundation. A Swiss national, he was appointment a goodwill ambassador to UNICEF and in 2007 became the first living person to be depicted on a Swiss stamp.

The Roger Federer Foundation is a charitable grant-making foundation that supports innovative projects operated by local relief organisations in selected countries of the world – projects that would otherwise lack sufficient funding. The idea is to permit a maximum number of children make the slogan “I am tomorrow’s future” become reality in their lives and help them actively shape their future.
